As a Business Development Officer in the DFW / North Texas Market. You will have the opportunity to tap into the largest SBA lending market within the region and to reestablish Capital CDC as a dominant player in the area. This market offers a significant opportunity for growth and financial success with a team of experienced staff to support this role.
Duties and Responsibilities Summary:
Perform outreach and market SBA 504 products and Capital CDC’s services
Prospect / develop new lender and customer relationships to increase business development opportunities consistent with yearly sales goals and objectives
Participate in association / customer events, conferences, and other outreach opportunities to build awareness of Capital CDC and relationships in the market
Work with borrower and lender to develop loan packages and assist the Capital CDC Credit Analyst with information to prepare the Credit Memo
Serve as point of customer contact for SBA assistance inquiries for the region
Make sales calls and presentations with lenders to educate potential borrowers on the benefits and processes of the 504 Program
Input relevant project data into the Loan Management System and other CRM systems as needed to ensure effective tracking of client data
6 - 10 years of experience in business development in a banking or lending environment
Experience with commercial lending practices and commercial real estate is strongly preferred
Ability to interface with a variety of internal and external customers, both in writing and verbally
Proven sales success against loan value and/or deal goals is essential
Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote sales office environment
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Knowledge of SBA loan products is a plus
Must be established in the DFW market area with existing network
Telecommuting is allowed.
